Shriya Saran has started her second innings very grandly. She is full
swing with the recent success of ‘Manam’ where she romanced Akkineni
Nagarjuna. Shriya looked pretty and her chemistry with Nag reminded of
Santosham. Now, the actress is on game for some back to back prestigious
projects. She is considered to play one of the actresses in
Balakrishna’s next film tentatively titled ‘Godse’ to be directed by
debutant Satya Deva.
Shriya has now bagged another biggie. The
starlet is set to romance Venkatesh in a satirical comedy ‘Deva Devam
Bhaje’. The film remake of Hindi hit Oh My God is going on floors from
June second week. Venkatesh plays the antique dealer who files a lawsuit
against God — the role essayed by Paresh Rawal in the Hindi version of
the movie which released in 2012. Pawan Kalyan will be seen as Lord
Krishna in the movie. In the original, Lubna Salim played the role of
the wife of the protagonist, who is the mother of a six-year-old.
Speculation
is that Shriya has been roped in to play this role.We will have to wait
and see if the role is going to be tinkered in the Telugu version.
Kishore Pardasani (Dolly) will wield the megaphone for the remake. The
Telugu version will go on floors shortly. Meanwhile, Shriya is fast
wrapping up the shooting for her Bollywood film Valmiki Ki Bandook and
another Tamil movie.
